My assumptions about dressing for a date (guys correct if I am wrong)
1. Dress appropriately. WEar jeans and hiking boots on a hike. Evening dress for black tie and so on.
2. Dressing Eenvoudige Trouwjurken comfortably is also important. Men do like high heels but bring a pair of ballerina flats for later on in the evening. I have seen women walk around barefoot in the city. Doesn't look good.
3. If you have a good shape, wear form fitting clothes. Much sexier than showing a lot skin (but not too formfitting)
4. What's more important than your clothes though, is what's unique to you. Put more consideration into hair, nails, and face.
5. Wear a good perfume. If you see a guy over and over he will associate you and the perfume.
6. It was pretty trollerish for you to mention that you buy new clothes for each date. If the guy had any idea of a future with you, it will all end in tears with that kind of priority. Where do you even store all those clothes?
Am I the only one that sees this as the wrong way to go entirely? How far should you go to please another person? I mean, I'd love to buy a new outfit every week too, but I want it to reflect MY style, not the style someone else thinks I should be. There's nothing wrong with being accommodating of someone else's prefereces to a degree, but to the point you are buying new clothes weekly seems ridiculous. Is he going to expect you to wear dresses every day for the rest of your life now? When do you get to start dressing like yourself again?
Yes, men do care what you wear on dates to an extent. But they are also trying to get to know YOU, and putting on a veneer of what they want to see doesn't help that process one Korte Trouwjurk bit. Unless you plan to bend to their every whim from now on and never be yourself, which isn't practical.

Hmm the guy I'm seeing doesn't like heels. Doesn't like perfumes and prefers I not wear makeup. Normally I like to doll my face. I consider myself a makeup guru but he prefers I wear nothing at all. On average people usually say I have skill when it comes to makeup application so I know I don't walk around like a clown.
I usually shop once or twice a week even before I met him. He is aware I am a shopaholic. I had no intentions of being a troll, I was merely sharing what I have been doing. My close friend has been split voor Prom Dresses doing the same but she buys tops weekly.
